“For the past 10 years Raul Cordero's work has been devoted to researching the beginnings of an artistic idea and the process that follows until it becomes an art object.  In doing so, much of his work has concerned itself with various media including painting, photography, video, multimedia installation, and public intervention.  Beyond creating art objects, though, Cordero utilizes these media to create a dialogic exchange in which one form of media is used to reference (and even owe deference) to another medium.  Essentially, he is interested in how visual perception can transmit artistic ideas between contradictory media”.
